Michelle opened Bed and Biscuits in February of 2005. Her passion in life has always been dogs. When she opened, she envisioned a place where dogs could go to be dogs. A place full of love and fun but at the same time a place that was safe. A place where dogs could be in a country setting around nature and romp around and really use up their energy. She wanted a place that was near her home so the dogs would never be left alone. She has been an animal advocate and rescuer for over 16 years and absolutely loves Great Danes. She is owned by four - four legged children- Max, Myrtle, Mable and Fester. She also is owned by four- two legged children- Stephanie, Ivy, Bailey and Gage.
Jessica has been with Bed and Biscuits for two years. She came to us from up North and we are so glad to have her as part of our pack. Jess has tremendous love and affection for all dogs but is head over heels for our elder friends. They trust her and love her immediately. She also has an amazing ability to do ten things at one time which makes her a favorite with our players. Jess is owned by two four legged children....her dog Rhino and a cat.
Lindsey has been loving and taking care of the gang at Bed and Biscuits for almost four years. The staff and the dogs absolutely adore her. Lindsey gives the dogs a calm but loving energy and always has an amazing sense of what the dogs are feeling. She spends her summers and holidays with us and during the year is studying off at college to be a vet. Lindsey is owned by many horses and dogs.
Sandra was with Bed and Biscuits for nearly three years. From the first day Sandra joined us as part of our family she believed in our dream for dogs. She was a jack of all trades but loved spending her days in the play yards with the dogs. She was such a staple around here that many of you keep asking me where she has gone. We are sad to say that Sandra and Joey moved to New York in October and we all miss them terribly. She calls and gets updates on the dogs and she is planning a trip down soon to come and visit.
Amy has been with Bed and Biscuits for nearly two years. She keeps the place running smoothly and efficiently. There is nothing that this girl cannot do! We originally hired her because we felt that she would be a tremendous asset to the dogs and we have learned over the years that not only were we right about that but she can do everything else as well. Her heart is big and the dogs love her and we are so thankful to have her as part of our team. Amy is owned by Koda- a very, very, very big German Shepherd and Buddy- a little pug with a big heart. She also has five cats.
Stephanie has been hanging out at Bed and Biscuits since it opened. She has been working on our playground since she was in high school and is now off at Appalachian State studying Biology in hopes of being a doctor one day. We sure would like it if she became a vet! Stephanie comes home for the holidays and of course you will find her in the office welcoming dogs in over the summers. Stephanie loves all the dogs but has a special place in her heart for the little ones. She goes out of her way to make sure they feel safe and loved. Stephanie is owned by Sissy- her 18 year old Maltese.
Carrie has just joined our team and watch out everyone she has the energy of ten people. She has been an amazing addition to our family and we feel blessed that she is with us. Carrie comes to us with a tremendous amount of experience as she was the hospital manager of a vet office. Carrie also is a vet tech so we are thrilled to have that skill to benefit our dogs if need be.She absolutely loves all dogs and is owned by a zoo of cats, dogs, and chinchillas. |
Derek is our resident handyman, run put' er upper, room fixer, fence put'er upper, fence fixer, grill master and dog lover. You will see Derek around mostly in the evenings as he has a 5am-5pm job with the Army but every evening he comes by to see who has arrived and to say hi to them all. He is owned by Michelle.
Valerie is the newest member of our team and we could not be more thrilled to have her join us. She comes to us from Maine and has a huge soft spot for disabled/special needs dogs. If you hear some very, very sweet talking while you are hear you can probably bet it is Valerie. She is currently owned by a Husky mix named Ella who you may see playing in the play yards out here at Bed and Biscuits and also a one-eyed Yorkie named Winston.
